Check out how to make these babies over on the Wedding Chicks Blog =)
Fun photobooth or Photo shoot props!

Heather & Neil

You can tell a lot about someone by how they handle things going awry.
Given that "something" is going to go a lil off course,
it's interesting to see how a couple deals with rain on their wedding day.
And not just "Southern California Rain", pretty much the hardest rain I have seen in years!
Well that is what happened to Heather & Neil.
I had always heard the expression “its good luck for it to rain on your wedding day”
But it was quite possibly the luckiest wedding day I have ever witnessed!!!!
It was pouring rain while the girls were getting ready,
while the bride put on her dress,
and while the groom and his mates were pinning on their bouts.
Then minutes before we head out to start pictures the rain stopped.

ALL WITHOUT RAIN!
*Thank you baby jesus*
Then cocktail hour came and it POURED. I swear it was even hailing!
The Wedding was at the beautiful INN OF THE SEVENTH RAY
So everything was outside (tented) but still outside =)
So as it started pouring, the guests were screaming/laughing as they ran for cover!
It was truly amazing!!!! The best wedding story ever =)
And Heather & Neil were just giddy. So so happy. Nothing fazed them. It was perfect.
I love that!!!!
And now they are having the time of their lives in Jamaica (insert jealous tone) =) I kid I kid.
Thank you Heather & Neil and your lovely families
for letting me play a part in such a special day!

*And thank you Mr. Haack for bearing the rain, mud, and storm with me for this wedding!

Anthropologie Anonymous

Its kind of a sick drug. I've come to realize that Anthropologie is my crack.
Well you get it :)
No really I frequent this establishment numerous times during the week.
It's getting to the point of embarrassing/boarder line stalking the housewares department.
But it pays off to be a stalker! {Can we have that on my tombstone please?!}
creepiest thing to come out of my mouth in a while.
Anywoooooooooo. my latest finds.
$1 candlesticks (Originally $12) that I am in LOVE with (I got some gray and a ton of Blue!)
$14 candle stick holder (not on sale though)
$18.00 Teapot (Originally $70) see below!!!!
Oh and I decided to make a lil table runner last night.
A ghetto/maybe semi crafty table runner?!
I just got kraft wrapping paper and wrapped it around the middle part of our table :)
Yes I know. Interior Decorator at your service. {Sigh}
Well we are slowly getting our downstairs redecorated and I cannot wait to show all of you the changes. Minor and cheap as they are I think it's making a huge difference!
Everything got painted last week and it's amazing what a difference that makes :)
This weekend: Operation Pretty Bathroom
Cannot wait to show you the final result!
*Oh and seriously I think that there needs to be a support group for other
Anthroholics out there like me :)

Pretty pink ranculous from Traders Joes :)

4 cupcakes & an Organic Beer

That was my dinner last night.
4 cupcakes + an organic beer.
I must say I feel pretty good about the combo.
Food Inc would be proud :)
* I have still yet to watch Food Inc, since I am not quite ready to change (neither here nor there)
It was just one of those days, where nothing really seemed to go right.
Let me preface this by saying this is not a pity post, I repeat, NOT A PITY POST :)
Anyway it was just a crazy/chaotic day.
The pup was being ridiculous and I ended up making a emergency run to Sprinkles.
Yes emergency run.
While I was there I realized that Bub's (the dog) day was just as bad as mine,
considering at that point we weren't on the best of terms.
So I picked out 4 cupcakes for me, 1 doggies cupcake for Bubs
(he is watching his girlish figure, me= not so much)
As soon as we were home, I toasted cupcakes with my dog
"To better & worse days"
I savored my cupcakes and Bubs ate his in less than 10 seconds. So no picture. :(
But our lil toast
(okay I didn't really talk to my dog in my kitchen alone, more of an inner monologue
-I'm not that crazy- lol)
made me realize that even on my worst days I couldn't imagine life differently.
Even on those "bad" days I still realize that I would rather be having my worst day with my
hubs & bubs than having my best day without them =)
So cheers to cupcakes, organic beer, and bad days!

*And bubs wanted to say hi! So of course some pics of our lil monster!

Alycia & Joe

Bikes. Red Lips. Beaches. Inflatable Hearts. Pink Mustaches. Fields.
Alycia & Joe's engagement was nothing short of amazing!
We only had a couple days to plan everything out because Joe is leaving out of town soon to play Minor league baseball =)
But Alycia was amazing with brainstorming ideas for our shoot,
and making it fun and playful :) and very much them!
I absolutely love getting to interact with my couples during their engagement session,
and Joe & Alycia were soooooo fun! Thank you guys for being up for anything ;)
I truly cannot wait for your day!!! Enjoy!
